HISTORY OF THE ESTATE
Since it was built in 1582, Château de Julinés has had a rich history rooted in the Beaujolais wine region. The vaulted cellars and cellar framework, dating from 1744, are testimony to this heritage.
Claude Condemine, a Lyonnais dyer living in a neighbouring hamlet, decided to buy the château in 1907. For four generations, the Condemine family has contributed valuable expertise and in-depth knowledge of the terroir.
The vineyard covers 40 hectares, in the Juliénas, Fleurie, Moulin-A-Vent and Beaujolais-Villages Blanc appellations.
Thierry Condemine, the man behind the château's wines:
“I took over the estate in 2010, and today I manage 15 hectares of the vineyard with the help of my wife, Aurélie.
Winegrower, the most beautiful profession in the world...our work is punctuated by the seasons, the weather, but above all by the passion and pleasure of continuing the story of my parents, and writing that of our children.
Passionate about the terroir and family history, we are committed to modernizing the estate's practices while respecting family traditions and sustainable methods.
My philosophy is to blend tradition and modernity, while letting nature do its work. My aim is to produce wines for laying down that fully reflect the soul of the Beaujolais region and the uniqueness of the Gamay grape variety.
We made the decision to adopt organic farming, promoting the sustainability and health of the soil, which reflects his respect for the environment and the terroir. In 2022, the estate obtained its organic certification. The vines, grown using organic methods, produce high quality grapes, enabling the creation of expressive wines, rich in fruit and with good structure.

After a busy day in the vineyards, I devote myself to my passions: drums and vintage cars. In my free time, I take pleasure in letting myself be carried away by the music or silonnonning the roads of Beaujolais aboard our Wine Tasting Truck.”
